Using Filters Effectively

How to use, combine, and reset filters.

Updated over a month ago

Introduction

PLAIO’s Filters Panel makes it easy to narrow down large datasets so you can focus on what matters most. Filters help users slice through data across any worksheet based on values in any column, without needing to sort or scroll manually.

Filters Panel Overview

The Filters Panel is located on the left-hand side of the worksheet interface. It lists available filters that match your dataset's columns.

Filters are dynamic and update the data in real time. You’ll see changes reflected immediately based on your selection.

Multi-Select and Custom Filters

Most filters allow multi-select. You can choose several items within a category (e.g., selecting multiple SKUs, locations, or order statuses).

Combining multiple filters can help isolate very specific slices of data, such as:

  • Forecasts for a specific market in a specific timeframe

  • Orders above a certain threshold from a particular vendor

Detail Filters

When working in a detailed worksheet view (like Supply Orders or Inventory views), PLAIO may show additional filters at the bottom of the Filters panel. These filters relate specifically to the details shown and allow for granular refinement.

Clearing Filters

To reset your filter view:

Reset Option

Description

Resetting filters helps you return to a clean dataset before starting a new search or analysis.
